About Mardi Himal Trek
Mardi Himal Trek trail offers you a very easy and safe route. You will witness yourself in the lap of these beautiful mountains and the villages you come across during your descend provides well information about the lifestyle and cultural experience.
The entire trail up to your final destination climbs normal uphill through mostly dense rhododendron and thing bamboo forests. If you prefer a quiet trail taking you to a lap of gigantic Annapurna range mountains then, Mardi Himal Trek is the best trip for you.
The highest overnight elevation is 3500m which is of Mardi High Camp and the maximum altitude of your trail is Mardi Base Camp 4500m. Since this trail has very little elevation you will not require any extra day for acclimatization. With the inclusion of flight service this trail can be shortened by some days which might be very helpful in some conditions.
Your trek starts from an hour’s drive from Pokhara to a place called Kade. Right from Kande Mardi trail will introduce a normal uphill through a beautiful forest with a view of Mt.Machhapuchhre. Machhapuchhre gives meaning fish-tailed shaped mountain in Nepali. A single proper sight of this mountain has the power to attract and take you up to the Mardi Base Camp. Every single day the fishtailed mountains come closer to you and you feel yourself getting more and more in the lap of Annapurna range mountains. You will also have a breathtaking sunrise view that directly hits Mt. Annapurna South and Mt. Hiunchuli.

You will have a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu whereas during the Trek your accommodation will be in normal tea houses or hotels indicated in itinerary. Since this trail is one of the most developed trails you can have varieties of meals that our Sherpas will indicate to you in each place.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1
Arrival Day in Kathmandu (The capital of Nepal)-1300m/4265 ft.
This day you will land at the Capital city of Nepal which is Kathmandu. The airport will be Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). You will be picked by the company representative and welcomed.
Providing you a flower garland made from Marigold. In Nepal, garlands are provided as a warm welcome gift and taken as good luck for further days. You are given a brief introduction and taken to Hotel via private vehicle.
As you arrive hotel you can get a nearby location map from the counter and can explore local shops or attraction points. You can also get gears for your trekking if you had missed any.

Day 2
Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara 7 hours drive
Today you will have an early morning drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Your drive is usually 5 hours long but can get longer depending upon the traffic condition.
Pokhara is a beautiful city giving you an amazing view of Machhapuchhre 6993m and a lake aside known as Fewa Lake. On your timely arrival, you can experience boating in Fewa Lake. With the clear weather, you may get to see the reflection of the beautiful landscapes around the mountains into the lake.

Day 3
Drive from Pokhara to Kade 1756m (an hour ) and Trek to Deurali 2140m
You will have an early morning breakfast. You will pack our bags and take an hour’s drive from Pokhara to a place called Kade.
You will have an amazing experience driving through the hills of the Kaski district. You will witness very small villages and landscapes around.
After having a quick breakfast at Khare your trek starts. You will be introduced to Mardi Himal Trek with a normal uphill climb. Your climb will be for around 2-3 hours. The uphill trail is almost a steep climb.
You will be at an absolute heart-catching place called Australian camp (1990m). This is the first point where you will witness Macchapuchhre 6993m. After around 2 hours of the uphill climb through the forest, you will reach Deurali. A small Gurung village with some lodge.

Day 4
Trek from Deurali to Forest Camp 2400m (4-5 hours walk)
With an early morning rise, you will have a beautiful sunrise. You will see Mt. Annapurna South, Mt. Hiunchuli, Mt. Dhaulagiri, and Mt. Macchapuchhre. As you finish your breakfast your trek starts uphill for almost 2 hours. The trail is all into the forest with well-made step by step uphill climb. Your beautiful view of Annapurna South and Mt. Machhapuchhre through the forest.
After 4-5 hours walk, you will arrive at Forest Camp located between the rhododendron forest.

Day 5
Trek from Forest Camp to Badal Danda 3280m (5-6 hours of walk)
Today your destination will be one of the best viewpoints of Mardi Himal Trek. You will get the best views of Many mountains nearby. You will encounter Himalayan Yaks which are found above 3000m. The trails are normal uphill within the Rhododendron and bamboo forests.
Today you will have 5-6 hours of a slow uphill walk.
Overnight at Badal Danda.
Day 6
Trek from Badal Danda to High Camp 3500m (3-4 hours walk)
Today you will have to wake up early to get a beautiful sunrise view. The sun directly hits Mt. Annapurna South and Mt. Hiunchuli. These mountains can be seen very close to you. In the early morning, you can witness a cloud lake beneath you at the level of the forest camp.
After breakfast, your trek towards High Camp starts. You will have a breathtaking view of Mt. Machhapuchhre (Mt.Fish Tail)
Today your trek will be 3-4 hours of normal uphill walk.

Day 7
Early morning trek to Mardi Base Camp(4500m) and Back to High Camp (6-7 hours of walk)
Today your trek starts at around 4 Am. Headlamps are very compulsory. Today the trail is very narrow and uphill. It is mandatory to wake early to meet the best sunrise and closest sunrise view. Your sunrise view will be from Mardi View Point elevated at 4000m which takes 2 hours of walk. For additional 2 hours, you will be at Mardi Base Camp. Annapurna Base Camp and Machhapuchhre base camp can be observed from the base camp.
Overnight at High Camp.
Day 8
Trek back from High Camp to Sidhing 1750m (6-7 hours)
With the climb of our last destination, we will start to climb back towards the same trail. It will take 2-3 hours to reach the low camp where you will have your lunch. From here you will descend down from a new route. You trail are all down steep down within dense Rhododendron forest. An additional 4-5 slow walk is required to arrive at Sidhing.
Overnight at Sidhing.
Day 9
Trek from Sidhing to Lumre (2 hours walk) and drive to Pokhara (1:45 min)
This day adds an extra flavor to Mardi Himal Trek. To this day you will miss the villages and lifestyle of people in this region. But trek to Lumre shares all the things you have missed. Sidhing itself is a very attractive village having amazing landscapes. You will go across mostly Gurung and Tamang people. You will have a close view of their lifestyle and cultural experiences. As you reach Lumre you will be picked by private vehicle and drive back to Pokhara.
Overnight at Pokhara.
Day 10
Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu – 7 hours
Today after you finish your breakfast you will be picked by a Private Vehicle at the hotel. Your drive to Kathmandu will be via the same route. It will take around 7 hours drive to arrive in Kathmandu.
Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 11
Free Day in Kathmandu
Today is a free day in Kathmandu. You can either rest or explore the UNESCO World Heritage Sites which are inside Kathmandu valley. Many of the travelers use this day as a shopping day for their family and friends taking memories of Nepal.
Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 12
Final Departure
Today the company representative will be at your hotel to drop you off at the Airport at your designated flight time. You will be honored with a Buddhist traditional scarf; Kha-Ta. It is a scarf where prayers are written in the Tibetan language. These prayers are for the best of luck, peace, long life, and harmony to everyone.
You are also handed an achievement certificate of Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
