Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the best high pass trekking trails in the Annapurna Region of Nepal. The trails are a bit challenging and good physical fitness is required. This trail gives you complete knowledge of the landscape, geography, and lifestyle of different ethnic groups.
A summary about Annapurna Circuit Trek
You will come across a narrow path, small rivers, and many villages with different cultures and traditions. Annapurna Circuit trail covers many gigantic waterfalls, subtropical forests, gigantic mountains, and cliffs. This region is densely populated by Gurung and Thakali people.
Many mountains above 6000m can be witnessed very closely. Some of them are Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Tilicho, Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mt. Pisang, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna Massif range (Annapurna I-IV), and many more.
The highest point of this Trek is Thorongla Pass. It is also known as one of the best passes. Amazing sunrise can be seen from the pas if you reach the top early morning. The elevation of Thorongla Pass is 5416m. This pass takes you to the lower mustang region of Nepal.
Since the trail is circular, the trek is completed in an anti-clockwise direction due to the structure of the trail. You will get more days to acclimatize and prepare your body for the 5416m pass.
The average day for this Trek 15-16 days which gives you a good amount of acclimatization days and daily trek elevation also goes smoothly. This trekking trail also offers you one of the very famous treks which are the Ghorepani Poonhill Trek. This is completed while returning after the pass.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1
Arrival Day in Kathmandu (The capital of Nepal)-1300m/4265 ft.
This day you will land at the Capital city of Nepal which is Kathmandu. The airport will be Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). You will be picked by the company representative and welcomed.
Providing you a flower garland made from Marigold. In Nepal, garlands are provided as a warm welcome gift and taken as good luck for further days. You are given a brief introduction and taken to Hotel via private vehicle.
As you arrive hotel you can get a nearby location map from the counter and can explore local shops or attraction points. You can also get gears for your trekking if you had missed any.

Day 2
Drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani- 1860m (8-9 hours drive)
Today will be a long drive day. You will get an opportunity to know and explore well about the geography of Nepal. We will first drive to Besisahar-1100m. Rest there for a while and change an off-road vehicle and drive again to Dharapani.

Day 3
Trek from Dharapani to Chame- 2710m/8891ft (5-6 hours walk)
Today is the first day of Trek. You will be given a morning wake-up call and finish our breakfast early in the morning. Our breakfast will normally be at the same time. We will start our trek at around 8 Am.
Your trek will be 5-6 hours long with normal uphill through small villages. You will have a view of Mt. Lmajung and Mt. Annapurna Today.

Day 4
Trek from Chame to Pisang-3300m/10824ft (5-6 hours)
As we finish our morning routine we will head towards Pisang. Today trail is normal slight slopes. You will reach Pisang within 5-6 hours.
There are two Pisang; Lower Pisang & Upper Pisang. The overnight camp will be decided depending upon your arrival.

Day 5
Trek from Pisang to Manang – 3500m/11482 ft (6-7 hours walk)
Our trek will start as always after finishing our breakfast. The trail is normal uphill as an earlier day. Today you will reach Manang elevated at 3500m. A small village is rich in culture and traditions.
You will be at Manang after 6-7 hours of walk.

Day 6
Acclimatization at Manang
Acclimatization days are also taken as a free day or rest day. This day is especially kept to acclimatize your body with the surrounding altitude and temperature. Although acclimatization day seems to extend the trip, It is very important and helps you to complete your climb up 5416m high pass keeping you away from altitude sickness.
Today you hike to Chongkor View Point-3750m from where the breathtaking view of Annapurna Range Himalayas as well as different small villages and hills can be seen.

Day 7
Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka- 4110m/13484 ft (3-4 hours trek)
Today will be a short trek. Your destination will be Yak Kharka. A small village between two big hills. You will be at Yak Kharka for your lunch. You can rest or explore the local village around.

Day 8
Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorang High Camp- 4800m/15748ft (5-6 hour Walk)
As we finish our breakfast we will head towards Thorong High Camp. It will be 5-6 hours long trek. The trail is a gentle uphill slope with a rocky path. High Camp is just below the Thorong-La Pass.

Day 9
Hike Thorang-La Pass-5416m and Trek to Muktinath- 3800m/12,467ft (6-7 hours walk)
Today is the day where we will reach the highest pass and altitude of the whole trek. Annapurna Circuit Trek is a dream of millions but only a few dare to complete it. It is not challenging if you have good physical fitness and good gear with you.
We will have our breakfast very early and climb towards the pass. After a continuous climb for around 3-4 hours, we will reach the highest point of 5416m. You can spend some time capturing the moment at one of the highest passes of Nepal.
You will then start descending towards the lower mustang region; Muktinath.

Day 10
Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom ( 5-6 hours walk )
Now we will head towards another beautiful destination in Annapurna Region. Your destination will be Ghorepani Poonhill Now. A hill point from where you will get a breathtaking view of Annapurna range Himalayas.
You will start trekking down through a historic village in Mustang Kagbeni. It is also a major attraction there. You will find plenty of similar houses made from mud with firewood piled up on the roofs. It will take you 5-6 hours to reach Jomsom.

Day 11
Drive from Jomsom to Tatopani- 2700m / 8860ft (6-7 hours drive)
Today will be a long day drive. Tatopani falls into Annapurna Region. You will encounter a beautiful landscape and many small villages. The roads are a bit narrow and through the hills. Today’s drive will be adventurous. After a continuous drive for 6-7 hours, you will arrive at Tatopani.

Day 12
Trek from Tatopani to Ghorepani-2750m / 9,020 ft (5-6 hours walk)
A Challenging day to reach a beautiful destination Ghorepani. As always we will start our trek after finishing our breakfast. Today we will slowly climb uphill to reach Ghorepani. The trail is always up uphill.
Ghorepani is also the last destination of the Ghorepani poon hill trek. You will be at the top after 5-6 hours climb.

Day 13
Hike to Poonhill and Trek to Hile and drive to Pokhara (5-6 hours walk)
Today you will have an hour hike to Poonhill from where you can witness amazing sunrise view over Annapurna Range Himalaya. Major mountains including 8000m + mountains can be seen.
After capturing beautiful moments you will come back to Ghorepani for breakfast and trek down towards hile. It will take 5-6 hours long to reach Hile. After a while rest at Hile, you will drive back to Pokhara.

Day 14
Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
Today you will be picked by a Company representative at the airport if you take a flight
or else be visited the hotel. On timely arrival, you can spend your day as a free day to
make shopping or else visit nearby attractions. Today you will be invited by the company for a farewell dinner.

Day 15
Final Departure
Today the company representative will be at your hotel to drop you off at the Airport at your designated flight time. You will be honored with a Buddhist traditional scarf; Kha-Ta. It is a scarf where prayers are written in the Tibetan language. These prayers are for the best of luck, peace, long life, and harmony to everyone.
You are also handed an achievement certificate of Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
